"The website has definitely improved our email communication and allowed us to promote our club and its functions". -Whitney Woolfolk, Website Committee Member and Former Club President.
What was your objective of having a website for your club?
We wanted a more updated website than what we had which would be a place where all members could go to find out information about the club meetings, board meetings, fundraising events, and other member contact information. We also wanted it to appeal to a younger crowd and entice more young people to join. It has been a great way to let people know who we are and what we do.
How are you using your website and what value is it providing your club?
We currently use our website as a membership directory, and as a tool to send out reminders about lunch meetings, board meetings and fundraising events. Also, we use the website as a means of communication to the entire club between regular meetings. We also have registration for certain events enabled through our website which helps get the younger crowd involved as opposed to having to get cash or a check from this group.
What features does your club use the most?
We probably use the calendar and email system the most.
How did your website improve your member communication and event
marketing? What kind of feedback are you getting from your members?
It has definitely improved communication via the email function and allowing members to send mass emails to the whole club, in case we need to get information out in between meetings. Also, we have a much better website to promote our events and it's the easiest way to tell people about us and what we do. Especially when we can save our event flyers on the website for people to download. All of our members seem to enjoy the website and think it's very user-friendly. Every time someone brings up something else we need to add (such as a function), to the website, we find out that function is available, so it's been nice.
Are you printing and mailing newsletters and flyers less because of your
website? How has your website helped in lowering cost and improving efficiency?
We definitely aren't having to print or mail flyers as much. Now we can just email them out and/or save them to the website for members/prospective members to view. It certainly has cut down on the time spent printing, copying and physically distributing them.
Any other suggestions to help us improve our service?
No- service is wonderful and we have no complaints! :)
